Überall und Nirgendwo

Every village in Germany, no matter how small, has a main street, the Hauptstraße. In this project it stands for all the roads of our villages, small towns and suburbs. More than any designer house occasionally found there and celebrated by magazines, it is the average house along the Hauptstraße that shapes the character of these streets and how we perceive them. Überall und Nirgendwo is my attempt to bring this ordinary townscape from the unconscious to the forefront: the houses that are everywhere, and that nobody sees.
